First of all, the service was TERRIBLE! We asked for waters all around and they served us with Voss water. Seeing that everyone at the patio tables were being served Voss water, we assumed it was the restaurant's standard water to be served. Keep in mind, WE DIDN'T ASK for bottled water, they simply just served it to us. We weren't given any option for bottled or tap water. It took our waiter a long time to come by our table and take our orders and took EVEN LONGER to give us our entrees. When we were obviously done with our meals, we waited again for a long time to ask for the check.
After opening the bill and seeing that we were charged $26 FOR BOTTLED WATER, we told the waiter that we never ordered Voss water and that this should be taken off our bill. He came back and told us that they took off the 1 bottle of Voss water, but we would still be charged for the other Voss bottle. WATER IS FREE, so why should we be charged for fancy water that we never asked for? Then he went on and blamed us saying that we should still be charged because we still drank the water. Well, no duh! We drank the water because this was the water being served to us. In turn, we asked to speak to his manager since he failed to see our point in the issue.
Instead of the manager coming by to talk to us, some guy (assuming that he was the manager) just dropped the check in between us and left. We looked at the check and saw that the Voss waters were taken off the bill. However, the fact that their service staff blamed us and still wanted to charge us for the water, on top of that the manager didn't even want to speak to us was absolutely LUDICRIS!
As we paid our bill, we didn't want to just drop off the check since we were paying for more than $200 in our bill, but we wanted to speak to the manager to let him know that we were completely dissatisfied with their service and hidden costs on the bill.
Since the waiter did not bring the manager around to talk to us, we asked one of the other servers for the manager. Our waiter came by and demanded the check by yelling, "Give it to me!" repeatedly. Mind you, we were outside of the main door of the restaurant so all of the patio patrons were witnessing what was going on. Again, we asked for the manager and he stated that he didn't want to talk to us. What kind of restaurant does not have their superior available to handle issues with their customers, especially to satisfy them when they have had a bad experience? The only thing i regret is giving him a tip because he definitely did not deserve it.
I will NEVER, EVER, EVER go there again and WILL NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant to anyone visiting Miami! Again, DO NOT GO HERE unless you want bad service and want to be overcharged. McDonalds will give you better service, they're fast, and they don't charge $13 for water cuz water is free!
